Research at the Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA) museum

One aviation historian has described the collection as a ‘gold mine’ and material from the archive has been used in three recent documentary films, including Spitfire Sisters and Air Transport Auxiliary (both available from our shop). Historians, journalists, novelists and family historians have also used the ATA archive at Maidenhead, even while it has been in store.

We are happy to answer simple questions regarding the Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA) fairly swiftly, and can also provide a full and more exhaustive research service which will incur a charge and is likely to take a little longer to conduct. In the first instance, please outline your query on the contact form and we will be back in touch with you.
